POROS CaptureSelect™ IgM Affinity Matrix purifies IgM antibodies by binding to their Fc region. The affinity medium consisted of CaptureSelect affinity ligands coupled to NHS-activated Sepharose 4 Fast Flow® resin (Cytiva). By binding to the unique domains of the Fc part of IgM, this affinity medium enables highly specific purification of human and mouse IgM without separation from complex sources such as plasma, serum, and cell culture supernatants IgG and IgA cross-react.

Affinity ligands for ThermoFisher's CaptureSelect™ media are based on recombinant antibody fragments of only 14 kDa in size and can be adapted for highly selective binding to certain moieties or antibodies and antibody fragments.
