PLD10K-CH is a 10 A laser diode driver in a small rack-mount package. A single +5 V power supply is used to minimize internal heat dissipation. The modular packaging allows PLD to be easily integrated into the system. For applications that require a higher forward voltage, a separate laser diode power input can be used to provide a higher compliance voltage. The effective current limit not only protects your laser diode, but also ensures that you operate with maximum stability. When the laser current reaches the level set by Limit I Trimpot, the output is disabled and the Limit LED and Limit Status indicate that the current limit has been reached. For 5 A, choose PLD5K-CH. For 6.5 A or 5 A in the PCB mounting package, choose PLD6500 or PLD5000 respectively.
