Low-retention variants are treated to minimize liquid adhesion to the inner wall surface, improving pipetting accuracy when handling viscous, protein-rich, or low-volume samples. Filtered tips incorporate a hydrophobic polyethylene aerosol filter that prevents aerosol and liquid from entering the pipettor body, protecting against cross-contamination.
