Non-targeted metabolomics of gut microbiota (CAT#: STEM-MB-0108-WXH)

Introduction

The number of intestinal microorganisms in the human body is as high as 100 trillion, which is close to 10 times the total number of cells in the human body. It is the "second genome" of the human body, also known as "another organ of the human body". A large number of studies have shown that intestinal flora is closely related to diabetes, liver disease, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, kidney disease, AIDS, tumors and other diseases, and plays a vital role in human health and disease. The intestinal flora affects the human body through the metabolites produced. Using metabolomics to detect the dynamic changes of intestinal bacterial metabolites, clearly displaying the metabolic state of intestinal flora in the host, can more intuitively study the relationship between intestinal flora and the occurrence and development of diseases, thereby providing new ideas for the prevention and treatment of diseases and improving the health level of the host.

Applications

• Research on dynamic changes of intestinal flora metabolites;
• Screening of differential metabolites of intestinal flora;
• Research on the mechanism of intestinal flora in the occurrence and development of diseases.

Procedure

1. Sample Collection
2. Metabolite Extraction
3. Mass spectrometry detection
4. Metabolite Qualitative vs. (Relative) Qualitative
5. Biological information analysis
