This multimodal chromatography medium is designed for protein purification under high-salt conditions. It uses high-flow agarose microspheres as the base matrix. The medium combines weak cation-exchange, hydrophobic, and hydrogen-bonding interactions. This mixed-mode mechanism enables proteins to bind without extensive feed dilution. Samples with elevated conductivity can therefore be loaded directly under suitable process conditions. The 40 µm particles provide high resolution and efficient mass transfer. A monoclonal-antibody adsorption capacity of 60-90 mg/mL supports productive preparative purification. Broad chemical stability permits exposure to alkaline cleaning solutions, alcohol, acetate, and denaturants. The medium is suitable for capture, intermediate purification, and polishing of proteins.
