Description

The Aridus3 is a membrane desolvating nebulizer system for low-volume sample introduction and desolvation for ICP and ICP-MS. The source describes a low-flow micro-nebulizer intended to minimize sample consumption. The sample-contact system is constructed from inert PFA material. The material selection permits use with samples containing hydrofluoric acid. Membrane desolvation is used to reduce solvent loading before the aerosol reaches the plasma. A waste-back-suction design is listed to improve operational stability. The system is intended to support elemental analysis across the range of analytes measured by ICP and ICP-MS. The configuration is designed for trace-element workflows where low sample volume and chemically inert sample handling are important.
