With a compact design, the IRB/1200 can be mounted from any angle and accommodate small workspaces. Despite its small footprint, it is 10% faster than competitor industrial robots of its size. These units feature a 7 kg payload capacity and a 700 mm reach.
The ABB IRB 1200 is paired with the intelligent IRC5 controller. It also features ABB's SafeMove2 software. SafeMove2 provides advanced safety monitoring and control technology. With this system the IRB1200 can operate in close proximity to other robots or operators without collision or interference as robot motion is restricted to only what is needed for a given application.
