The Leica CM3050 S is an advanced cryostat system designed to enhance user comfort and meet the demands of cryosectioning in a wide range of research applications. With excellent safety standards for almost all types of cryosection applications, the CM3050 S is the perfect solution for precise specimen orientation and output quality.

Among the many superior features of the CM3050 S system are its powerful, quick freezer shelves. The actively cooled quick freeze shelf (-45°C) with its thermal extractor allows extremely fast specimen freezing. A truly flexible system, this Leica cryostat allows hydraulic cabinet height adjustment, giving the user the freedom to work comfortably while sitting or standing. All function keys are easily accessible from any position.

The Leica CM3050 S cryostat offers the most important settings such as cutting speed range, cold room and specimen temperature, thawing time and duration, coarse material and object temperature can be conveniently and accurately pre-selected at the push of a button. A new feature has been added is slice thickness selection from outside the freezer - now conveniently located in the control panel.
