Description

The glass fiber membrane is designed for use in in vitro diagnostic products as a sample pad, conjugate pad, or nucleic acid extraction membrane. As a sample pad, it supports capillary flow, removes impurities from samples, and can be pretreated to adjust pH, ionic strength, surface tension, and protein binding behavior. As a conjugate pad, it helps achieve stable and uniform release of labeled antibodies or other detection reagents, improving lot-to-lot consistency. For nucleic acid extraction columns, the glass fiber membrane enables DNA and RNA adsorption under low-pH, chaotropic salt, and alcohol conditions, followed by elution under weak alkaline and low-salt conditions. It offers suitable pore structure, low fiber shedding, consistent absorbency, reliable water flow rate, and high wet strength.
