The FlowSorb III measures surface area with the flowing gas method, which involves the continuous flow of an adsorptive and inert gas mixture over the sample at atmospheric pressure.

Gases: Mixtures of Helium with Nitrogen, Argon, Krypton, Carbon dioxide, Ethane, n-butane and Other noncorrosive gases.
Measures: Surface Area

The extremely stable detector eliminates drift and requirement for constant adjustment.
Cold trap conveniently located in front vs. side placement, as in other instruments. Compared with side placement, this placement reduces the chance of breakage.
A single injection calibration requires only one control setting. Suitable for any non-corrosive adsorbent mixture.
All controls and monitors are at eye/arm height, not in overflow area.
Built-in sample preparation.
Five different types of sample tubes are available, including monolithic tubes for large samples.
