The Nexus X1 thermal cycler uses less power than the traditional epppendorf Mastercylcer Nexus thermal cycler and uses a silver block instead of an aluminum block.

The epppendorf Mastercycler SX1 nexus is a non-gradient thermal cycler with silver thermal block and 96x 0.2 mL PCR tubes or 77x 0.5 mL PCR tubes or 1x 96-well PCR plate capacity. With a temperature control range of 4-99°C, the Mastercyler nexus SX1 thermal cycler is a fast and safe thermal cycler.

The epppendorf Mastercycler nexus SX1 uses Peltier elements and triple circuit technology to heat the lid to 37-110°C. The lid also features Ebendorf's Flexible Lid Technology for an ergonomic lid opening. Block homogeneity ranges from 20-72°C < ±0.3°C, 95°C < ±0.4°C with an accuracy of ≤ ±0.2°C. The epppendorf Mastercyler nexus thermal cycler has a heating rate of approximately 5°C per second and a cooling rate of 3.5°C (faster than non-X1 models) and has USB, Ethernet and CAN input/output interfaces. All epppendorf nexus X1 thermal cyclers use only 540W during operation, lower power consumption.

The epppendorf Mastercycler® Nexus Thermal Cycler is a reliable, easy-to-use thermal cycler with low energy consumption, ideal for everyday and routine PCR operations. The Eppendorf Mastercycler can be easily expanded to 3 small units, each with a small footprint, and is designed to fit on any laboratory bench.

Eppendorf Mastercycler® thermal cyclers have flexible lids. Flexlid accommodates all types of consumables, from low volume all the way to 0.5 ml PCR tubes.
