Encephalomyelitis (EAE) animal model (CAT#: STEM-AE-0051-WXH)

Introduction

Experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) is an autoimmune disease characterized by mononuclear cell infiltration and demyelination around small blood vessels in the central nervous system. Its pathological changes are similar to those of multiple sclerosis (MS) . Because MS samples are not easy to obtain, EAE animal models are an important way to study the pathological process and pathogenesis of MS, and are of great significance in clinical neuroimmunology research. The principle of the experiment is to use a certain protein to induce disease in mice.

Applications

• Neuroimmunology Research.
• Study the pathogenesis and treatment of multiple sclerosis.
• Drug development, drug screening and efficacy research.

Procedure

1. Animal Adaptive Feeding.
2. Anesthetizing Mice.
3. Injection of Antigen and Pertussis.
4. Injection of drugs to boost immunity.
5. Raise mice routinely, observe and record disease conditions.
6. Model evaluation.
