Chroma’s Model 80612 Short Circuit/OVP Tester is a specially designed module to enhance the system testing capability of Chroma’s 8000 Series Power Supply Auto Test System.
The Model 80612 contains the following functions:
1. An internal short circuit relay which provides short circuit test capability.
2. OVP/UVP circuits for trip point and trip time testing.
3. 6 pairs of SHORT CONTROL ports that provide options to control external short circuit relays of OVPS testing of supplies.
4. 6 pairs of PROGRAMMABLE RESISTORS that supply resistances when testing OVP/UVP.
5. 6 pairs of LOAD input ports for short circuit and OVP/UVP tests.
6. An internal MEASUREMENT function provides the capability to measure short current Ipeak and IDC.
7. An OVP SOURCE input port to connect an external DC SOURCE when performing OVP testing.
8. A SENSE output connector that provides feedback to external DC SOURCE for remote sensing.
9. A RS-485 port for communicating with PC.
10. A smart cover located on the top of internal short circuit relay. Users can easily remove the cover and replace the internal short circuit relay as contacts wear.
