Column Packing Material

Chromatography is a commonly used analytical technique in the laboratory, which is able to separate a mixture into its components. This method is based on the relative amounts of each solute distributed between the mobile phase, and a contiguous stationary phase. A Chromatography column is a device used in chromatography for the separation of chemical compounds. It is in essence a tube filled with a solid substance (the stationary phase) through which the liquid sample (the mobile phase) passes. Good column packing is essential for any chromatographic process and plays a key role in bioprocessing of biopharmaceuticals.
