Description

This boronate affinity chromatography medium is designed for purification of glycoproteins and other cis-diol-containing compounds. It uses a four-percent high-flow agarose matrix coupled with boronate ligands. The ligand forms reversible interactions with suitable carbohydrate-containing molecules. Changes in process conditions allow target molecules to bind or elute from the medium. The resin is also applicable to carbohydrates, nucleotides, nucleic acids, peptides, and enzymes. Its spherical particles support consistent column packing and liquid distribution. Strong ligand attachment limits functional-group loss during repeated use. The medium combines selective affinity binding with relatively high process flow.
