The Beckman Coulter Z1 Particle Counter is specifically designed to produce high quality output through simple operation. After entering diameter or volume as a cell size value, accurate results can be viewed within seconds. Clear information displayed on the LCD helps operators understand the setup process and analysis functions. During calibration, optimal instrument settings are automatically calculated in just a few steps. The model was also able to account for issues commonly found in other instruments, including calibration drift due to electrolyte conductivity and temperature changes.

The Beckman Z1 counter uses inductive zone technology to count cells or particles in the 1-120 micron size range. This accepted reference method for cell counting offers accuracy, speed, versatility, and exceptional precision.

Standard apertures are available in five sizes. For very small sample volumes, ampoules can be inserted into the wells. A new unique displacement pump combined with the Z1 gauge provides a high degree of precision and precision. The pump also eliminates the need for mercury used in traditional mercury manometers.

The model's single threshold cell function can set a size threshold. The fully automated instrument enables rapid counting of tissue culture and blood cells from different species.
