The BAP/MAC bi-plate combines Blood Agar (BAP) and MacConkey Agar (MAC) in a single 90 mm plate, serving as a dual-purpose screening medium. BAP supports the growth of gram-positive bacteria, while MAC selectively detects gram-negative enteric bacteria through lactose fermentation differentiation.
