TowerFreezer 2-F20 is an automated low-temperature storage system designed for life-science laboratory automation. The unit uses compressor refrigeration to maintain stored laboratory consumables within the stated subzero-to-refrigerated temperature range. Rotating storage racks and an internal lifting robot allow plates or tip boxes to be retrieved without an external robotic arm. Consumable-presence sensing and barcode scanning support identification and inventory-state tracking. Random-access storage and in-place return allow individual consumables to be retrieved and replaced according to the automation schedule. Replaceable storage racks support SBS-format microplates, deep-well plates, and tip boxes. An open communication interface allows the storage system to be integrated with liquid handlers, dispensers, readers, PCR instruments, and other automated equipment. The system is intended for high-throughput workflows that require automated cold storage, rapid consumable access, and traceable inventory handling.
