Analysis of Peroxidase (POD) Activity by Enzyme-labeled Instrument (CAT#: STEM-MB-1434-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 0.01 U/mgprot
Detection range: 0.01–100 U/mgprot
Precision: inter-lot difference of 5%, intra-lot difference of 3.2%
Detection equipment: Enzyme-labeled Instrument
Detection wavelength: 410-430 nm

Principle

Peroxidase (POD) was used to catalyze the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen, and oxygen oxidized pyrogallic acid to form yellow products. The enzyme activity was obtained by measuring the absorbance (OD value) change at 420 nm.

Applications

It is suitable for the detection of POD activity in plant tissues, but not in serum and plasma.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: plant tissues
