Analysis of Myeloperoxidase (MPO) Activity by Ultraviolet-visible Spectrophotometer (CAT#: STEM-MB-1369-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 16.95 U/L
Detection range: 16.95-3349 U/L
Precision: inter-lot difference of 9.800000000000001%, intra-lot difference of 4.5%
Detection equipment: Ultraviolet-visible Spectrophotometer
Detection wavelength: 460 nm

Principle

Myeloperoxidase reduces hydrogen peroxide to a complex, which generates yellow products by hydrogen donor o-anisidine. The product production is measured by colorimetry at 460 nm, so as to calculate the activity of MPO.

Applications

Used to detect MPO activity in serum, plasma, milk, animal tissue and cell samples.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: serum, plasma, milk, animal tissue and cell samples
