Analysis of Ferritin (Human) by MSD Hypersensitive Multi-Factor Electrochemiluminescence Analyzer (CAT#: STEM-MB-0170-LGZ)

Introduction

Ferritin is a ubiquitous iron storage protein with a nanometer-sized hydrated iron oxide core and a cage-like protein shell. Ferritin is a protein containing 20% iron. Normally, it exists in almost all body tissues, especially hepatocytes and reticuloendothelial cells, as an iron store. Trace amounts of serum ferritin reflect normal iron stores. Detection of serum ferritin is an important basis for the diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia.

STEMart technology detail

Principle

MSD electrochemiluminescence technology is mainly based on ultra-sensitive multi-factor electrochemiluminescence analyzer MES0 Sector600 or Quickplex SQ120. Through dot matrix technology, the detection of 10 indicators per well can be realized in the 96-hole graphite electrode plate. It can also be customized to realize the screening detection of 100 index wells in a 24-well plate.

Applications

Immunology/Inflammation, Metabolic

Procedure

1. Coat the capture antibody on the well plate.
2. Add samples/calibrators.
3. Add detection antibody.
4. Read the plate and analyze the data.
