Description

The manufacturer of Amersham Biosciences GE Ettan IPGphor II Electroporation System is Amersham Biosciences. Model is Ettan IPGphor II. GE Healthcare's Ettan IPGphor II is ideal for obtaining perfect resolution 2D gels. The system features repeatability, reliability, speed, accuracy, high protein loading capacity, and high throughput. The system is so compact that it can be placed on a desktop in any corner of the lab. It's very quiet and takes up almost no space. The system requires an ambient, dust-free operating environment. The system contains gold-plated copper electrodes, with very high voltages applied between the electrodes, be careful when operating the instrument. For safety, the electrodes are automatically turned off when anyone opens the instrument cover.

The IPGphor II allows for the simultaneous use of up to 12 strips in a single run, all these strips will be subjected to single program. The maximum length of each strip can only be 24 cm.

4. The operation can be monitored at any time. Operation is usually displayed in V hours (volts x hours), i.e. voltage and time together. A run can be paused at any time and can resume at a later point in time.
5. The instrument also has special functions controlled by computer. The IPGphor II can be connected to a computer via a serial port. System-supplied software can be installed and used to run programming. All functions provided by the software can also be accessed directly through the instrument.
6. Maintenance of the instrument should be done with care; the system should be thoroughly cleaned after each use.
