Description

The On-chip SPiS, Single Cell Plating System is manufactured by On-Chip Biotechnologies Co., Ltd. It is a single-cell distribution system that automatically and gently deposits single cells (or a specified number of cells) into the wells of a 96- or 384-well microtiter plate. It uses a dedicated disposable pipette tip and image recognition technology to ensure single cell deposition while keeping cells more viable than many traditional cell plating methods using FACS. This bench-top system can be installed in a biosafety cabinet for aseptic distribution. Some of its applications include single cell cloning, monoclonal antibody production, spheroid / organism culture, and sample preparation for single cell DNA / RNA sequencing and single cell MS.
