3-cylinder Bubble Trap, model ACCFL0002 is manufactured by IBI Scientific. This product is designed to be used in combination with the IBI flow cell system. It is made of polycarbonate, a disposable device that has been irradiated (sterilized). Its main function is to remove the bubble from the pipeline of the flow cell system before it reaches the growth cell. The bubble trap also helps to eliminate the pulsation in the flow due to the action of the peristaltic pump. The 3-cylinder bubble trap will accommodate a 3-channel flow cell or three convertible flow cells. Since each cylinder is independent, not all cylinders need to be connected to the flow cell system.
