Filter Unit manufactured by Crystalgen, Inc features cellulose acetate (CA) membranes which are very low protein binding with low extractables, and are recommended for applications requiring maximum protein recovery. Naturally hydrophobic, CA contains a wetting agent which may be toxic to some sensitive cell lines. CA is ideal for filtration of buffers, aqueous reagents and EIA/ELISA reagents and samples, as well as cell culture media and serum used with non-sensitive cell lines. Crystalgen Filter Units feature 1 1/2 turn screw cap, tapered sides and grip indents to improve handling and a wide base to improve stability during use.
