The Instatherm^® Oil Bath manufactured by Ace Glass, Inc. features an integral precious metal alloy permanently fused with glass, and is covered with a hard silicone rubber-treated glass cloth insulation material, which can act as a thermal insulation layer and prevent physical impact. Heat response is rapid and thermal lag is low. The typical heating rate is about 5°C per minute.
